One of Donner Lake’s more unique aspects are its 37 public docks. Owned and operated by the Truckee Parks and Recreation district, they're available to the public on a first come, first serve basis. They’re perfect to launch a canoe, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard. Or soaking in the sun and even a bit of meditation.

After being towed into the air, your FAA-certified glider pilot will release from the tow plane and you’ll fly like an eagle high above the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe area, flying the rising air currents for which Truckee and the Sierra Nevada range are world-renowned. Choose from one of three scenic ride packages varying in durations between 15 – 40 minutes, accommodates 1-2 people.
