How does it work?

Sustainable Truckee Gift Cards are digital gift cards, redeemable with a smartphone (no app required). Cards work at 60+ participating Truckee-Tahoe merchants including Grocery Outlet, Mountain Hardware and Sports, Coffeebar, Old Town Tap, Word After Word Books, and more!

Step 1 - Buy a Sustainable Truckee Gift Card online. The gift recipient will receive the gift card via email or text. You will also be given the option to print at home.

Step 2 - Browse participating merchants who have opted into the program to see where you can use the card. New businesses are joining everyday so check back frequently!

Step 3 - Ready to shop! Gift recipients will open the Sustainable Truckee Gift Card on their phone to show the merchant at checkout. The card number is processed manually in a POS as a credit card. It cannot be swiped.

Cards are multi-use with a live balance that updates automatically after a customer transaction. Tipping is NOT ALLOWED on the card.
