Join the Tahoe & Sierra Valley Chapter of the California Native Plant Society for Blow Your Mind Botany, an eye-opening presentation by botanist and ecologist Joe Medeiros. Drawing on the latest scientific research, Joe explores fascinating questions about the plant kingdom—from how plants communicate and adapt to whether they can anticipate change and play a role in addressing our climate challenges.
A Professor Emeritus of Botany and Ecology at Sierra College, Joe has spent more than six decades exploring the Sierra Nevada and 35 years teaching about its remarkable ecosystems. His passion for plants, ecology, and the natural world makes this an engaging evening for gardeners, hikers, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone curious about the science behind the landscapes we love.
