Truckee Thursdays is a feel-good event that beckons the community to enjoy some exuberant downtown summertime energy. Offering a stage with live music; a food court with an eclectic selection of eats; children’s activities; a beer garden; and a wide variety of artisan vendors, it’s no wonder this lively weekly event is on both locals’ and visitors’ must-do list.
Head to the Truckee River Regional Park to sample 30+ brews, dance around to music by Blues Monsters, and partake in a silent auction. Must be 21+.
Join the annual Truckee 4th of July Parade along Donner Pass Road, a Truckee tradition that's fun for the whole family. Free to spectators. The parade kicks off with fire trucks sounding their horns, police cars and their sirens, big rig trucks, classic cars, horses, local nonprofits and organization floats, marching bands and more!
Enjoy a full day 4th of July party at West End Beach, with fireworks at dusk. Spend the day with family, friends and the Truckee community with a day at the beach, listen and dance to music, play games, eat BBQ, and watch the fireworks. Gates to the beach open at 9:00 am, games and bands start at 1:30 pm, and fireworks are at 9:30 pm. West End Beach event is for Truckee residents and homeowners.
For fewer crowds, watch the fireworks from an Old Highway 40 pullout or find a big granite rock to throw a blanket on and take in the fireworks over the lake. Remember to leave no trace and pack out what you pack in.
North Lake Tahoe's 4th of July Drone Shows are POSTPONED due to weather. Aviation forecasts call for winds and wind gusts at flight levels to be significantly higher than allowable limits for the drones to safely fly over Lake Tahoe. Shows are planned to be rescheduled for Labor Day Weekend.
After a two year Independence Day fireworks hiatus, North Lake Tahoe is resuming celebrations in a new way - swapping traditional pyrotechnic fireworks displays for drone light shows! The shows will feature custom performances up to 15 minutes in length and choreographed to music. Both will take place over Lake Tahoe, with over 100 drones taking off from and returning to shore at the conclusion of the shows.
Breathe and stretch during this free outdoor yoga series! Palisades Tahoe offers FREE outdoor yoga classes every Wednesday night from July 6 to August 31 in The Village, next to the Palisades Yoga Studio. The complimentary classes kick off at 5pm and are taught by a different (amazing) local teacher each week. All levels are welcome. Bring your own yoga mat.
Art and nature collide in this incredible performance by Trails & Vistas. This year, the July art hike will take place at Lacey Meadows and Webber Lake. Hike among the wildflowers on July 16 & 17, 2022 to discover five art and performance sites in the forest. The 3.5 mile hike is a moderately challenging route that takes an average of 2.5 hours to complete.
Festival-goers can sip on a wide array of tasty beers from over 10 different breweries spread throughout the Village, as well as enjoying an incredible lineup of live music on two stages. Tickets required. Purchase in advance to get the best deal, to speed up the check in process and to guarantee your spot at this awesome event.

A signature Truckee event, this FREE summer concert series is a favorite among locals and visitors. Head to the "Salty" Gebhardy Amphitheater at the Truckee River Regional Park every Wednesday from June - August for a community gathering with great music.
Bluesdays is back! The FREE outdoor concert series featuring top blues musicians returns every Tuesday starting June 14 through August 30, 2022. Bluesdays features an outdoor Blues bar with beer, wine and spirits as well as great grab-and-go food offerings from Village restaurants. Pack a low back chair as seating is limited.
Free live music every Friday in The Village at Palisades Tahoe! After a day of hiking or sightseeing from the Aerial Tram, relax and enjoy some the area's most talented musicians.
This FREE summer concert series is always a fun time with friends and family!
