Join us for the 20th annual Truckee Day Street Clean Up and BBQ and Community Block Party! Show your Truckee love by participating in this community-wide cleanup, a great stewardship event that gives back and leaves our mountain town better than you found it. After the hard work, celebrate your efforts and meet Truckee Locals at the block party and BBQ!
Truckee Thursdays is a feel-good event that beckons the community to enjoy some exuberant downtown summertime energy. Offering a stage with live music; a food court with an eclectic selection of eats; children’s activities; a beer garden; and a wide variety of artisan vendors.
New this year, ONLINE REGISTRATION is required. Get your pass for FREE admission and parking. The Truckee Tahoe Air Show & Family Festival is proudly known as one of the region’s most family-friendly events with free parking and free admission. Come experience a breathtaking and world-class air show with world-renowned aerobatic performers! Visit the Grocery Outlet STEM Expo, the Family Festival, free rides for kids on Sunday, June 25 by the EAA Young Eagle’s pilot volunteers, static displays, vendors, a VIP Hospitality Tent, free Speaker Presentation, and much more!
One of the most unique art experiences in nature. Art hikes take place on the 2.5 mile loop mostly flat dirt trail at Spooner Lake State Park, near the east shore of Lake Tahoe. A trail guide will take a small group of people to enjoy eight art in nature performance installations with music, dance, poetry, and visual art.
Music in the Park is back for 2023 with an incredible lineup! Bring a picnic blanket to the grass amphitheater at the Truckee River Regional Park for this FREE summer music series. This year, we're jamming to Poor Man's Whiskey, Dead Winter Carpenters, Boot Juice, and many more!
The 17th Annual Music on the Beach concert series returns with a full lineup of live music! Start your 2023 summer weekends off right by listening and dancing to FREE live music performances featuring a variety of genres on the beautiful North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Featuring Coburn Station, Pipe Down, Blü Egyptian, and more.
The Village at Palisades Tahoe welcomes the return of Bluesdays, Tahoe's must-see summer music series. This free outdoor concert series features top blues musicians every Tuesday from June 20 through August 29, 2023. Outdoor Blues bar with beer, wine and spirits as well as great grab-and-go food offerings from Village restaurants. A limited amount of seating is available, please bring your own low back chair!
The third annual Truckee Reggae Fest is back! The festival will feature internationally known Reggae music, arts and craft vending, food trucks and a beer garden hosted by a local non-profit. This is an all-ages event and children 6 and under are free.
Inspired by the tradition of small-town community. Set within the laid-back, rustic charm of historic Truckee, CA. Shop, dine, discover art, explore the outdoor playground of the high Sierra, and dance the night away. Lineup includes Joe Nichols, Mark Mackay, and The Cripple Creek Band.

The Broken Arrow Skyrace, presented by Salomon, is a three-day, seven distance event held at world-famous Palisades Tahoe. On June 16-18, 2023 elite and recreational participants will experience an unforgettable trail running experience “where the mountains meet the sky.” The Broken Arrow consists of five iconic distances (plus a kid's race) that showcase the beauty of Lake Tahoe.
The Western States ® 100-Mile Endurance Run is the world’s oldest 100 mile trail race. The Run starts in Olympic Valley, California, near the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics, and ends 100.2 miles later in Auburn, California. In the decades since its inception in 1974, Western States has come to represent one of the ultimate endurance tests in the world.
Truckee Tahoe Gravel, formerly called the Truckee Dirt Fondo, is a signature Truckee event happening every June. The popular gravel bike race provides a welcoming environment for all riders to enjoy the endless dirt and gravel roads of Truckee's Tahoe National Forest.
Along with two competitive, timed routes, the event offers an easy, untimed short route for beginners and free family festival with live music, local food, and drinks where the community can come together to celebrate the Truckee's unique bike culture and beautiful outdoors.
Big Blue Adventure produces events and races - 5k, 10k, half marathon, mountain bike race, adventure race, open water swim, triathlon and more - in Lake Tahoe, Truckee, Olympic Valley and the surrounding Sierra Nevada. Their competitions offer options for all ages and skill levels, and pricing varies per event with savings available for active military, youth/students, and seniors.
The Tahoe Trail 100 offers athletes a 2-loop, 50 kilometer course filled with beautiful views of Lake Tahoe. Rocky summits and breathtaking pine forests are found in every direction from the host location of Northstar California. The Tahoe Trail 100 provides 25-100 qualifying slots to the Leadville Trail 100 MTB!
Legacy Day returns at Donner Memorial State Park for the second annual celebration of the land’s legacy, its cultural and natural history, and the people that inhabited the land. Bring the family for this free event and enjoy live music, a food truck, historical tours, children’s activities, visiting exhibitors, and a program led by the Washoe Tribe! $10 parking fee.
Located just five minutes from Downtown Truckee on the east end of Donner Lake, Donner Memorial State Park is open year-round and offers weekly, drop-in interpretive programs where you can learn about the natural and cultural history of the Truckee-Tahoe region. In the winter, check out their guided snowshoe tours, and in the summer, they offer guided paddling tours, mountain bike tours, junior ranger programs, historical tours, campfire talks, and park cleanups.

Explore the history of the area and the people who came into this part of the Sierra, including local Native Americans, the Donner Party, and builders of the transcontinental railroad. Visitors can expect to spend about one hour exploring exhibits.

Just 40 minutes east of Truckee, Reno, NV hosts a variety of events and festivals like hot air balloon festivals, wine walks, cook-off competitions and much more. From nightlife and gambling to art and museums, there's always something fun waiting "down the hill" from Truckee in the Biggest Little City in the World.
