Learn firsthand what it’s like to be caught in an avalanche and how professional search and rescue operations unfold. Speakers will discuss avalanche safety, beacon use, shovel and probe techniques, and how to improve your odds in the critical minutes after a slide. You’ll also get the latest insights on communication and navigation tools that can support your safety in the field.
Speakers include:
Rylan Cordone and team, sharing lessons from a 2024 avalanche incident in April
Logan Talbott, Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue (TNSAR)
Brandon Moore, Garmin
