Big Truck Day
Calling all truck-loving kids! Big Truck Day returns to Truckee on Saturday, October 17 for a hands-on day of big rigs, heavy equipment and family fun.
Explore the Town of Truckee Corporation Yard and get an up-close look at impressive vehicles and equipment from local contractors and agencies. Kids can climb aboard, meet Smokey Bear, watch a CHP helicopter landing and takeoff, and check out the Truckee Donner Public Utility District’s themed bucket truck.
Come dressed for the fun with a truck-themed backdrop and costumes available for photos.

Pet Food Drive
Big Truck Day will also host a pet food drive benefiting the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe. Bring unopened, unexpired, non-prescription dog, puppy, cat or kitten food to help fill the bucket. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
