Outdoor Volunteer Events

Heard of Voluntourism? It’s tourism with a twist, a one of a kind experience for sustainability minded travelers! Take part in the following outdoor volunteer opportunities to meet locals, learn about our mountain environment, and give back to the Truckee-Tahoe community.

Keep Truckee Green

Keep Truckee Green provides easy ways to help clean up litter and trash. Join the Truckee Litter Corps on the first Saturday of each month for a group clean-up at a designated location. You’ll get a TLC t-shirt and the opportunity to meet Truckee locals doing good. Or, try the Grab a Bag Program at local participating businesses. They provide the pick-up supplies for litter clean-up and you'll get a prize when you return your bag of litter.
