The Lake Tahoe-based specialty coffee company roasts its coffee at high elevation, with a focus on bringing out natural sweetness and origin characteristics. Run: Sugar Bowl to Palisades (15mi, 3,000ft gain)
Featuring a segment of the Pacific Crest Trail, this point-to-point route captures the best of trail running in the Truckee area: challenging uphill and downhill terrain, expansive Sierra views, and some serious elevation. Enjoy epic views as you traverse the crest from Sugar Bowl towards Tinker Knob. Don’t have a car or need to cut the run short? This route can easily be cut to any length by making it an out and back.
Run: Sugar Bowl to Palisades (15mi, 3,000ft gain)
This challenging alpine route crosses the Sierra Crest, incorporating sections of the Pacific Crest Trail and passing through rugged high-elevation terrain with expansive views along the way. The PCT runs directly through the Donner Summit/Sugar Bowl area, a popular jumping-off point for summer hiking and trail running.
Good to know: This is a point-to-point run, so arrange a shuttle or second vehicle before you go. Runners commonly travel from the Sugar Bowl/Donner Summit area toward Tinker Knob before descending into Olympic Valley. AllTrails.com
