Ride: Donkey Town / Jellystone Loop

This 10-mile loop on Truckee's east side offers a mix of flowy singletrack and playful features. Starting with Donkey Town, a blue-rated trail featuring berms, jumps, and rock features, you'll transition into Hong Kong Phooey and finish with Jellystone, known for its smooth flow and engaging terrain. Riders have praised this loop for its enjoyable ride and excellent conditions, especially after recent trail improvements.

Flume Trail

One of the most scenic mountain bike rides in the country, the Flume Trail hugs the eastern rim of Lake Tahoe with jaw-dropping views the entire way. The 14-mile point-to-point ride starts with a tough climb but rewards you with sweeping lake vistas and fast, flowing singletrack. Shuttles are available from Tunnel Creek Café.

Downieville Downhill

Renowned among serious downhill enthusiasts, this 15-mile shuttle-accessed trail boasts over 5,000 feet of descent through rugged terrain, including rock gardens, technical sections, and forested singletrack. It's a challenging and rewarding ride that requires planning and a shuttle service.
