A Mountain Round for the Memory Books

Situated at the highest elevation of any course in the Lake Tahoe region, Tahoe Donner Golf Course offers 18 championship holes framed by granite outcroppings, creeks, and towering pines. Originally designed by Roy Williams and Billy Bell Jr., and reimagined in 2006 by Cary Bickler, the course underwent a significant $2 million renovation in 2020. This renovation included a complete resurfacing of all greens with Creeping Bentgrass, reshaping of several holes, and improvements to tees and fairways. As a result, the course has been recognized for having some of the best greens in the Tahoe region and was ranked among the Top 50 U.S. public courses by NBC’s Golfer’s Choice in 2023.

The back tee is the highest point on the golf course and the highest in the Lake Tahoe/Truckee region. Strategic options include laying up short of the ditch at 230 yards or flying the hazard while avoiding three fairway bunkers that pinch the landing area at 280 yards.

Hole 16 – "Signature Vista"

Tahoe Donner's signature hole, featuring panoramic views and a dramatic change in elevation. This par 4 showcases everything that makes mountain golf memorable, with scenery that rivals the challenge.
