Boutiques + Vintage Clothing Stores In Truckee

Whether you want men's and women's fashion, kids' clothing, or one of a kind vintage finds, the clothing stores in Truckee are worth a visit for themselves. Combine that with a stop for a mimosa at Jax at the Tracks. A cream and butter fudge from Sweets Handmade Candies. All this plus more and you got yourself one heckuva day. To get a lay of the land, here's a list of our top-notch shops that call Truckee-Tahoe home.

Grizzly Menswear

For men that enjoy the wilderness but don’t want to sacrifice function AND form. Mountain wear for men many times provides the function needed to brave the elements but without any sense of style. At Grizzly Menswear, you’ll find brands that look good and provide attire suitable for summer days on Tahoe’s beaches down to chilly evenings on a mid-winter night in downtown Truckee. As their motto goes, they cover the full spectrum “where lake life meets mountain life.”

Dressed Boutique

Be one with nature with a stop at Dressed. A modern-meets-mountain style boutique filled with bright airy clothing options for women. You’ll find brands such as Free People, Indah, and Alternative Apparel. Don’t like what you see? Dressed receives new merchandise weekly to keep the store fresh and exciting.

Nomad

Boho-chic boutique offering the latest trends at affordable prices. Nomad offers everything from dreamy bohemian clothing to edgy showstopper one of a kind pieces. Airy summer dresses for those sunny Truckee River hangouts. Unique plaid jackets and flannels on cold winter days. Accessories such as necklaces, bracelets, and rings to finish your ensemble.

Unique Boutique – Viviane’s Vintage and Vogue

Add a little sass to your life. Tucked back in the old industrial buildings on West River Street, Viviane’s Vintage and Vogue location is as unique as the clothing you’ll find here. It’s no wonder Manhattan-based Jane Magazine named it one of the West Coast’s funkiest retro boutiques back in 2006. To this day, this vintage shop is as eclectic as when it started. You’ll find something for everyone. Masquerade masks or a vintage wedding gown for a party. Maybe a shortwave radio circa 1930 or delicately decorated antiques. You never know what you’ll find, but you’ll be glad you did.

Kalifornia Jean Bar

A dash of LA, a pinch of Gardnerville, and a dollop of Reno. The story of Kalifornia Jean Bar is inspirational. Founded in 2005, the vision for an LA style denim bar in Reno sprang from their trips to LA and frequent stops at Fred Segal. Over the past few decades, they’ve expanded to include a store in Truckee. This family run business features the best premium brands in denim, tops, and accessories for men and women.

Valhalla Vintage Co.

Find the piece of your dreams here… most importantly Valhalla hopes you enjoy the ride. What started in 2017 on the internet from years of collecting during their travels across the United States has burgeoned into a brick and mortar in Truckee in 2022. You’ll find Americana heritage brands to timeless classics as well as one of a kind pieces. And don’t forget to make a stop at their sister store the Sock Parlour.

Adele’s Attic

A mecca for those looking for hard to find luxury vintage and pre-loved designer clothing and accessories. This isn’t your normal vintage shop filled with well-used items but a carefully hand selected collection that is in near perfect condition. Adele’s Attic emphasizes the bright colors and bold silhouettes of the 80s as well as the casual chic style of the 90s. If you’re someone that values wearable art through fashion and has a concern for the sustainability of our planet, this is the place for you!
