Whether you're a vegan or a non-vegan, mark your calendar for Mondays at the new Mountain Lotus Cafe. Every week, chef Raymond Applegate unveils a new set of dishes inspired by the “Blue Zones” of the Pacific Rim region and their distinct flavors, announced online every Monday. The Monday Supper Club offering comprises a three-course vegan dinner. Past weeks have featured dishes from Macau, Thailand, and Vietnam. Don’t forget, reservations close on Thursday at midnight. Your order can either be picked up or enjoyed in the cafe’s dining room the following Monday between 5pm and 7:30pm. Each meal costs $24, covering the meal and a 20% gratuity tip. If you can’t make it, Mountain Lotus Provisions provides catering all over the Truckee-Tahoe area for events such as weddings and birthdays.
